The All New 2019 Honda Passport

2019 Honda Passport

One of the most anticipated models of the last Los Angeles Auto Show was without a doubt the all-new 2019 Honda Passport. It’s built on a new, more rugged platform and will feature a more robust all-wheel drive system which will allow it to venture off the beaten path.

The best in its class

Conversely, Honda says it will be a comfortable and refined SUV, the kind you expect from Honda in other words. A direct competitor to the Ford Edge and Nissan Murano, the Passport will carry five passengers. You will also get to enjoy enjoy the largest cargo space in its class. It will even have a cargo space hidden under the floor of the cockpit.

The new standard

20-inch wheels, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features, three-zone air conditioning and Honda Sensing group safety features. These will all be standard on the new 2019 Honda Passport. It will also have a traction management system that offers driving modes for mud and sand for more confidence off road.

Under the hood, the Passport receives the Honda Pilot’s 3.5-liter V6 engine and nine-speed automatic transmission. With the new Passport, Honda offers consumers a comfortable and spacious vehicle that’s a bit edgier than other Honda SUVs.

Jean Marc Leclerc, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Honda Canada Inc.

“The 2019 Honda Passport provides the on-road comfort and nimble handling buyers will appreciate on their daily commute. With the robust off-road and all-weather capability, it makes for a great weekend adventure vehicle. We saw an opportunity to deliver something that Honda is uniquely capable of making. The new Passport is in a great position to capture buyers looking for a more personal, powerful and capable Honda SUV.”
