Honda CR-V, Passport and Ridgeline Named Best Value New Cars in the 2026 Cars.com Affordability Report

The affordability of Honda products was highlighted as the Honda CR-V, Passport and Ridgeline earned a 2026 Best Value New Cars award from Cars.com. Cars.com editors have honoured each Honda vehicle as Top Finishers in their respective categories.

The Honda CR-V LX was a Top Finisher in the Compact SUV category, with the all-new Passport RTL named a leader in the Mid-Size SUV category and the Ridgeline Sport earning a top spot in the Mid-Size Pickup Truck category. The average transaction price for a new Honda vehicle in 2025 was $35,060 – about $10,000 below the industry average. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP1) of the 2026 CR-V LX ($30,920), Passport RTL ($44,950) and Ridgeline Sport ($40,795) are each below the $46,303 new-vehicle average transaction price in America, according to J.D. Power.

Honda is maintaining the affordability of its products while continuing to make fuel efficiency a priority. The company continues a nearly 50-year history of fuel-efficiency leadership in the U.S. auto industry, with the highest fleet average fuel economy of all automakers producing a full lineup of gasoline-powered and electrified vehicles in America, according to the new 2025 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Automotive Trends Report.
