2015 Honda CR-V: Offering Even More

Published on March 16 2015

The Honda CR-V is one of the most popular compact sport utility vehicles in its class for several reasons, including its reliability, safety, comfort and above all, its interior space. The Honda CR-V was introduced in the market more than fifteen years ago and since then, generations have passed, but the personality of the CR-V that is so appreciated by its owners has never disappeared. It should be noted that Honda has put a lot of effort into its compact sport utility.

Introduced last October, the new 2015 Honda CR-V is a perfect example. Let's be honest, the Honda CR-V did not need to be redesigned. Already very popular, it was still modern and was still doing very well on the market. Still, Honda is not an automaker who likes to sit on its success, and the manufacturer is continually seeking to improve. That is why they decided to present an improved version of the CR-V in order to make sure that they stay on top of their segment.

The first thing one notices about the new Honda CR-V is its new front end. With a new grille and redesigned headlights now surrounded by LED lights, the 2015 CR-V is immediately noticeable in traffic. Inside, it has also been reworked, particularly in terms of the center console which now has a new central screen. A better use of the space inside the CR-V means that passengers now feel more at ease and more comfortable.

The Honda CR-V is also safer compared to the older model. A new ACE body structure is better able to absorb the impact of a collision and above all, keep it away from the passengers. Available in both all-wheel drive and front-wheel drive, the Honda CR-V also provides a traction and stability control system, as well as a hill-start assist system that automatically applies the brakes when you are on a hill to prevent the vehicle from rolling back. Other active safety systems are also on the menu.

Under the hood, the Honda CR-V gets a more powerful 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that is also more fuel efficient. Despite a considerable increase in torque, the CR-V is now equipped with a continuously variable automatic gearbox, allowing it to claim an average fuel consumption of 8.8 liters per 100 kilometers in all-wheel drive and 8.3 liters with FWD. For a vehicle offering 1 054 liters of cargo space, that is quite impressive.

More comfortable, spacious and fuel-efficient, the 2015 Honda CR-V has improved in every aspect. Already popular, the new CR-V should continue to be a sight we see often on our roads. For more information, contact us today at Orleans Honda!
